Adidas Calling All Creators

CALLING ALL CREATORS

Calling all creators was a strategic marketing plan from Adidas to get everyone involved in the creation of new products mainly focusing on footwear and apparel. By saying everyone I mean it, at first I was a little skeptical on what that meant too, especially since their first video was not the most clear. As the campaign grew and became bigger more videos about it were uploaded to Youtube giving us more details and hype about it. Their first video consisted of athletes, and artist walking into a room with crazy dramatic music playing in the background, and crazy zooming in and out of their best selling most hyped and upcoming shoes.

So what did I mean when I said "everyone" earlier, well like I stated before Adidas kept releasing more of these videos and now they aren't just based around super well know celebrities, now they portray us, the average athletic, creative, mindful generation, shooting scenes in what appears to be a college, a high school field, a home, a street park, and a school, thus telling us that no mater who you are or where you come from you too have a creator in you, you can create the future now, and now is your time to shine, so they are telling us to step out of our comfort zone and express who we are no matter in what ways, design, fashion, sports..etc you name it

Although in the first video we see the "creators" walk into a room and close a door, then boom the ad ends, we later get another video of them being in the room. During the duration of the whole second part of the video we get a "Last Supper" vibe, We see all the creators including familiar faces like Harden, Messi, and Pharrell sitting in a long dinner table talking about legacy and what it means, as well as more crazy zoom shots to their feet where they are wearing some of the newest and latest shoes and technologies.

Adidas is a company that just keeps evolving not settling in one spot, August 22, 2015 was a revolutionary day for them, on this day one of their best selling shoe line came into the market, the YEEZY Boost Turtledove a collaboration with rapper Kanye West. This shoe just opened so many doors for Adidas, now putting them on the streetwear fashion industry. The Turtledoves were such a hit that they sold out in matter of seconds, now reselling for over $1300 when the MSRP was only $200! Ever since this drop YEEZY shoe collection has expanded to more colors and style, needless to say that they are super limited and wanted, every color way and style selling out in master of minutes.

Will Adidas keep growing and innovating, according to all the recent updates and collaborations it seems to be a big YES, just what else does Adidas have in-stored for us, guess we'll just have to wait and see.
